THE GENIUS PROJECT is about ending bullying and school violence by teaching kids how to discover their unique significance in the world.
As we are reminded everyday, the incidents of school violence and youth suicides continue to rise. While the debates about why and how these things keep occurring continue to rage on, we must stop talking and TAKE ACTION! It is up to US as community leaders, educators, parents, and mentors to take a stand for our young people.
Despite numerous differences amongst individual incidents there are a few common themes. 1. Kids are feeling disconnected from parents and teachers. 2. Kids are comparing themselves and their lives to unrealistic ideals seen on social media. 3. Kids lack tools and skills to respond to bullying from their peers. 4. There is a general lack of empathy and compassion. At THE GENIUS PROJECT our primary goals are to increase students coping skills

BOLSTER STUDENT CONFIDENCE AND INCREASE ACCEPTANCE
Studies have shown that when children have a sense of self and can identify something that they can take pride in their confidence levels increase, their ability to be kind and empathize with their peers rise, and they are better able to manage day to day challenges. THE GENIUS PROJECT, gives students tools to be able to self-identify their gifts, talents, and value their own uniqueness. |
PREVENT INCIDENTS OF BULLYING AND SCHOOL VIOLENCE
By teaching concepts of inclusion, raising the value on being unique, and increasing individual confidence the need to bully peers or commit acts of violence will naturally decrease. THE GENIUS PROJECT, teaches students that every single person, regardless of race, gender, ability, or identity has a special uniqueness that only they can share with the world. It is our differences and our uniqueness that make up our significance. TGP, instills VALUE in being different. |
IMPROVE COMMUNICATION AND BUILD TRUST BETWEEN STUDENTS AND STAFF
Our educators are on the front lines every single day as as such, are the first line of defense to recognize and de-escalate conflict. But their ability to protect students relies heavily on the level of confidence students place in them to be objective and fair. THE GENIUS PROJECT, partners with Teachers and administrators to aid them in developing a culture of trust between students and staff. By increasing the trust factor it gives students an outlet and sense of safety to disclose threats of violence, incidents of bullying, or other personal struggles the student may be facing at home or in the classroom. |
We are currently scheduling THE GENIUS PROJECT faculty workshops and all-school assemblies for the 2022/2023 School Year.
